Log Cabin Plans
In 1930, the world's largest log cabin was constructed as a private resort in Montebello, Quebec, Canada. Often described as a "log château", it now serves as the Château Montebello hotel.
The modern version of a log cabin is the log home which is a house built most often from premilled logs. The logs are visible on the exterior and sometimes interior of the house. Choose your new cabin or log cabin from the following free plans:
Go Green tip:
Be sure your new cabin has plenty of windows to let in lots of light and fresh air. Find a simple plan below that is easy to build. Use building materials gathered from the log cabin building site itself. If a new cabin is being built in a wooded area, wood from the trees which were cut to make room for the building can be reused as part of the building itself.
